I fear this will somehow be twisted into being Israel's fault, thus adding fuel to the pressure for a 2-state solution. Pray for Israel, Netanyahu and the chosen people. Carla

A gunman opened fire inside the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, wounding a security guard before other officers returned fire, officials said.
Police are looking at a man identified as James Von Brunn as the shooter, FOX News has learned -- though D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier would not confirm the identity of the suspect. A man named James Von Brunn operates a white supremacist Web site called Holy Western Empire which carries several anti-Semitic statements. The site says he was a World War II veteran and also served time in federal prison for trying to make a "citizens arrest" of Federal Reserve Board members in 1981.
Law enforcement officials said two people were shot in the violence Wednesday -- the security guard and the gunman. Both were transferred to a local hospital, said David Schlosser, a spokesman for the U.S. Park Police.
Schlosser said the gunman entered the museum shortly before 1 p.m. ET and shot one security guard, before two other security guards returned fire, wounding the shooter.
Lanier said the gunman was carrying a rifle. "He raised the rifle and started shooting," she said. "The second he stepped into the building, he began firing."
The museum released a statement giving a similar account. The statement said the museum would be closed for the rest of the day, but would probably open Thursday.
Lanier told reporters the suspect appears to have been a "lone gunman," and that authorities received no prior threats.
"Our hearts and thoughts go out to the security guard and his family," D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty said at the press conference. Fenty said the security guard is in "grave condition" and the gunman is in "critical condition" at the hospital.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said President Obama has been briefed, and is "concerned" and "saddened" by the shooting.
There were conflicting reports about how many people were wounded. Another law enforcement official earlier said three people were shot.
"The scene is secure," the source said.
Police and other law enforcement, including the FBI's Terrorism Task Force, had surrounded the museum site.
Witnesses said they heard a series of gunshots, and did not immediately know what was happening.
"We heard a huge boom and we all kind of looked around," said one visitor from Chicago. After they heard more shots, she said, "We all hit the ground and definitely knew it was gunshots."
Kimberly Frank, also from Chicago, said she and her son Tyler were just finishing up their tour of the museum when she heard five shots, though she didn't initially know they were gunshots.
"I was terrified," her son said.
The Holocaust Museum is a popular tourist destination, located south of the National Mall and near the Washington Monument.
